This department consists of 19 research faculty members whose research is framed by the new definition of ‘space’, a fast-expanding new discipline in architecture. The department publishes a bilingual landscape journal that is indexed in WOS and ISC data centers. Researchers of this group have made a significant contribution to the scientific dimensions of “landscape and environmental architecture” in Iran. They have been actively involved in a large number of basic, developmental, and applied research and have been interacting with major scientific centers around the world. The department has established a doctoral program in ‘Landscaping’. The program has been offered in different universities in Iran since it was approved by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran. Planning for six master’s degrees is another significant achievement of this group.
