Department of Space and Environmental Studies

This department has 14 academic research members whose major vision is to delve into the ‘built or man-made living environments’ using a dynamic structural unity method. For this purpose, the group carries out strategic, applied, and executive research and education activities (fostering culture) using a holistic approach and contributes to knowledge in different areas such as environmental sustainability and cultural development; the organic relationship between man and his environment (as opposed to the mechanical relationship); developing the environment through participatory approaches; improving the quality of the environment and human living space; explaining new definitions of environment and space; broadening the idea of environmental development as a part of a human development plan; and explaining and visualizing the structure of newfound civilization concepts for society and the country of Iran.
