طرحهای پژوهشی برون سازمانی
طرحهاي پژوهشي تقاضا محور است كه بر حسب سفارش دستگاه اجرايي و به منظور رفع نيازهاي جامعه يا بومي سازي علوم تعريف و اجرا مي شود. منبع تامين هزينه اين پژوهش، دستگاه اجرايي و مجري آن پژوهشكده است. دستاوردهاي كاربردي طرح متعلق به سرمايه گذار و انتشار نتايج علمي آن بر عهده مجري است.
سفرهای اکتشافی
مهمترین رسالت متخصصان، خدمت به جامعه خود است. علم باید در جهت رفع نیازهای مردم در راه رشد و کمال به کارگرفته شود. مشکل بزرگ کشورهای در حال رشد، عدم تناسب علوم رایج در دانشگاه‌های آنها با نیازهای جاریشان است.
